TOPIC: Federal Leases and Agreements

Susan Rondon began her oil and gas career at Gulf Oil in

Oklahoma City , working Gulf’s acquisition of Kewanee Oil in 1978.  After moving to Fort Worth she began working for Southland Royalty in 1981 and continued there until ConocoPhillips acquired Burlington Resources in 2006.  During her tenure she did contracts, rentals, shut-ins, and division orders.  In March 2007 she began working for XTO Energy doing lease set ups.  She is currently a Lease Administration supervisor for the Appalachia and Rocky Mountain areas and is responsible for wells and contracts.  Susan joined the Certification Committee in 2008 and is currently serving as a CPLTA Review instructor and DFW-ALTA’s Certification Liaison.  She has promoted the Lease and Title Analyst profession by doing career day seminars at local schools.  She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BA in psychology and a MEd in guidance counseling.  She has been active in DFW-ALTA and NALTA serving on both boards since 1999.  She became a CPLTA in 1994.  She is married to Mario and has two daughters, Melissa, who is 19 and Michelle who is 15.
