ROBERT L. HARRIS is a partner in the Dallas office of Shannon, Gracey, Ratliff & Miller, LLP.  Mr. Harris is a member of the firm’s litigation section and has over twenty years experience in complex, multi-party litigation involving oil & gas, commercial, products liability, professional and medical malpractice, patent/trademark and insurance litigation.  Mr. Harris’ representation has included suits against pipeline companies, land men, professionals, corporations, and other parties in cases involving royalty interests, breach of contract, fraud, zoning and permitting, and use of proprietary information in both state and federal courts.  Mr. Harris also has an extensive appellate record which includes numerous appellate decisions in various state and federal appellate courts. Mr. Harris graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas (summa cum laude) with a degree in Economics/Finance and a Masters Degree in Public Economics. Mr. Harris graduated from South Texas College of Law and is licensed in Texas and Colorado.  Mr. Harris holds the highest peer review rating (AV) from Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory.  Mr. Harris is one of only two members in the State of Texas to become a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel.  Mr. Harris is National Trial Counsel and Former General Counsel for Philadelphia American, New Era Life Insurance Companies and New Era Enterprises, Inc.  Mr. Harris serves as the President of the Board of Trustees for the Garland Independent School District.
